Saffron is one of our "GO TO" places for real authentic Indian cuisine. Have tried many other Indian restaurants in and around Orlando, this is the best we've discovered for real tradition Indian dishes. Having moved down to Florida from the northeast, I believe we were quite spoiled by the calibre of Indian food in both the Philadelphia and New York areas. Service at Saffron is always pleasant and accommodating. The entire staff is also very friendly. Attached please view my order of lamb samosa. They are and were large, plump and delicious! Be sure to go early in the eve, because they are popular and sometimes run out before the night is over. I highly recommend this establishment to any lovers of REAL TRADITIONAL INDIAN CUISINE. Very reasonably priced as well for the portions served.

The ambiance and the decor and the customer service was absolutely fantastic. The food was also quite quite good and we totally enjoyed our dinner. My only negative comment was that the plain naan was a little bit too dry and not soft. Maybe it was an anomaly not sure but it was less than perfect. Overall very good tasting food and definitely would recommend it based on the food that we tasted and ordered

Much of the food was good but one was sadly so bad that we had to send it back. The restaurant gracefully offered something else to replace it. The good: the onion fritters (you taste the chickpea more than the onion), not at all oily. The Tandoori chicken was excellent, and a mixed vegetable stew was nicely done. The dips were fresh and tasty. The bad was a chicken breast dish, the chicken was un-chewable, and the requested spiciness was not provided. The rice was wonderful and plentiful. In general, the servings were plentiful. Another issue was the curry smell in the room, I had to wash all the clothes I was wearing to remove the smell. Better ventilation is needed. The service is good, I liked the staff. Wine pours are generous.

The food was amazing. I have gone to many Indian restaurants on my business travels including in India. These meals were very tasty and authentic. We ordered at 3 out of the 4 different spice levels for the table and everyone was very happy. The spicy lamb Vindaloo was very popular. Food quantity was perfect as well. Highly recommend if you are in the area stopping at Saffron Indian Cuisine.

I had high hopes walking into Saffron Indian Cuisine on 7724 West Sand Lake Road, Orlando FL. especially arriving right at 11:30 a.m. on a Sunday when the doors opened. Unfortunately, the experience didn’t quite live up to expectations. My wife chose the buffet, assuming everything would be freshly prepared at opening time. To our surprise, every single item on the buffet line was cold — from the rice and chicken dishes to the biryani and palak paneer. If a restaurant opens at 11:30, the food should be hot and ready to serve. Cold curries and rice immediately take away from both texture and flavor, and in this case, the dishes tasted flat and lacked the depth of spices you expect from Indian cuisine. Based on this visit, I would recommend skipping the buffet and ordering from the regular menu instead. Buffet selections often feel like the more economical options, and here they were devoid of the bold flavors that make Indian food so memorable. I ordered the chicken biryani from the à la carte menu. It was noticeably better — aromatic and more flavorful than the buffet items. However, it still missed an important element.
